Welcome

This community of faith has a deeply challenging and compelling vision statement. It is summed up in the invitation to build "an active, welcoming and creative church – in the present for the future".

We have very different experiences and are at various stages of faith and life. We have different needs and belong to this particular Uniting Church community because it touches our lives with faith, hope and love. The church of Jesus Christ has never existed for itself, but at all its best moments it exists for others, reflecting the hospitality, disturbance and passion of Jesus.

We live in a pregnant time, full of possibilities, dangers and challenges. One of our tasks is to help encourage each other to walk the Way of Christ in a world which has many voices that often drown out the still, small Voice. Another is to share our faith in word and deed, to be a place where, in the words of the prophet Micah, we act justly, love mercy and humbly walk with our God.
